Navigating the Preserve Platform

A quick tour of the Preserve interface — where to find everything and how to move between products. 

Overview

When you first sign in to Preserve, you land on the Portal: The launching pad for every product your organization has enabled.

The Portal homepage

The Portal shows a card for each Preserve product module. Click Launch to navigate into an area of Preserve.

    Switching between products

    Once you're inside a product, use the App Switcher in the top navigation bar to move between Platform, Operate, and Learn without going back to the Portal. It's the quickest way to jump between the two when you need both during a shift or session.


    Inside Preserve Operate

    The Operate interface has its own navigation bar — the second row below the main Preserve top bar. Left to right, you'll see:

    • Search (magnifying glass icon) — searches across documents, procedures, rounds, and Ops 360 pages at your current site
    • Notifications bell — real-time alerts for round completions, out-of-bounds readings, procedure submissions, and more
    • Site Selector — switches between sites your organization has set up (e.g., "Lauren's Demo Site"). If you only have one site, this shows your site name.
    • Assignment Selector — switches your active job function for the day, which focuses your Home dashboard on the Rounds and Procedures for that role
    • Account menu (your name) — sign out, change organization, switch theme

    Below this row, aligned to the far right, is a standalone gear icon — this opens Operate Settings and is separate from your account menu.

    The main Operate navigation runs across the page: Home, Rounds, Procedures, Ops 360, Document Browser.


    Inside Preserve Learn

    The Learn interface has its own top navigation: Dashboard, Learning, Certificates, and Admin (if you have a Manager or Admin role).

    In the top right you'll find the same Search icon, Notifications bell, and your account menu — consistent with the rest of the platform.


    Your account menu

    Click your name in the top right to open the account menu. What you see depends on your role:

    For all users:

    • Change Organization — switch between organizations if you belong to more than one
    • Dark Mode — toggle between light and dark mode
    • Support
      • Documentation — opens the Preserve help center
      • Report Bug — send a bug report directly to TTP
    • Sign Out

    For Platform Admins only:

    • Settings — appears at the top of the menu; opens Platform-level settings for managing users, sites, authentication, webhooks, and the audit log

    💡 Two separate Settings areas exist in Preserve: Platform Admins access organization-wide settings (users, sites, authentication) via Settings in their account menu. A second, separate gear icon below the Operate dashboard's top bar gives Operate Admins access to Operate-specific settings (document uploads, dashboard organization, Bulk Meta, Tags, System Codes).
